Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism, Split is proud to present the second International Summer School themed “REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND POLICY – A NEW CONCEPTUALISATION AND REALITY CHECK” taking place June 10 – 14, 2019 in beautiful Split, Croatia.
The Summer School has been tailored to upper-year undergraduates, graduate students, PhD students and professionals from all over the world (social, humanistic, natural sciences and technical sciences). We encourage the participation of students in other applied fields who want to improve their knowledge in the field as well.
Organized by the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism, Split and The Regional Science Academy and supported by Regional Science Association International, the Summer School “REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND POLICY – A NEW CONCEPTUALISATION AND REALITY CHECK” represents a unique opportunity to learn and discuss about structures, actors, processes, challenges and future perspective of the regional development and EU policy in dialogue with leading international academic experts and practitioners.
The Summer School offers two courses on the topic “REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND POLICY – A NEW CONCEPTUALISATION AND REALITY CHECK” (students choose only one):
COURSE 1: REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN POST-CRISIS AND POST-GLOBAL WORLD covering the broad field of regional development.
COURSE 2: (EU) REGIONAL POLICY – REALITY CHECK AND PERSPECTIVE putting more emphasis on regional options, results and future perspective.
All of the Summer School courses are offered in English, so very good English skills are considered essential and do not need to be documented separately.
The application process involves a completed APPLICATION FORM
Within the application form you will be asked to upload:
- A valid passport copy
- A copy of your highest qualification or a transcript of your most recent year of study.
If we receive your application materials before February 28th 2019, you will automatically be given a discounted “early bird” rate for the courses. All other information about fees can be found here.
After receiving the acceptance e-mail (for "regular" applications) by May 10th 2019, you will be asked to upload the proof of payment by May 31th 2019.
After receiving the payment you will receive the acceptance e-mail which means you are formally enrolled in the Summer School.
